Located in northern NY, the village of Evans Mills was founded around 1802, but the mills were not erected until 1806. In the middle of the 19th Century, the community was briefly called “Evansville.” Evans Mills became an incorporated village in 1874. The population then was about 500. Nearby Fort Drum contributes a great deal to the local economy and the village boasts a healthy real estate market. The Thousand Islands Region of New York State is minutes away and we are just a short drive to Adirondack Park. The nearest city is Watertown, which has a growing population and a booming retail market.
